Palestinians have flowed out of town – some by car and others on foot. Israel opened another corridor south of Gaza for two days this week to allow more people to evacuate. However, many Palestinians in the hungered city are reluctant to be uprooted again, and are too weak to afford to pay for the travel.
Aid groups warn that enforcing thousands of people to be evacuated will exacerbate a tragic humanitarian crisis. They are seeking a ceasefire, so aid can reach those in need.
On Friday, UNICEF said four trucks had been stolen from life-saving treatment foods targeting thousands of children in Gaza. According to the statement, an armed individual approached a truck outside the Gaza city’s compound, and the driver was held at the muzzle while food was being filmed.
