It was Sharma Show of the first ball of Indian Run Chase when the young opener dismantled Pakistani experienced pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi in his first over.
Sharma, a top-ranked men’s Twenty20 (T20), hit the first ball with four, followed by six cover fielders.
He kept hitting six and three fours, before falling to part-time spinner Saim Ayub.
The team’s main role is opening batter Ayub, Pakistan’s only wicket taker.
Despite the loss of three wickets, India did not appear to be struggling with a run chase sealed at 6 on the 16th by Suryakumar.
Previously, when Pakistan’s captain Salman Ali Aga won the toss and chose to hit first, it seemed like the right call as Dubai’s pitch slowed down in two innings in the previous match.
However, Pakistan received an early blow when Ayub was kicked out of Hardik Pandya’s bowling with the first ball of the match.
One-down batsman Mohammad Harris chased the suit in the next over as Indian star bowler Jasprit Bumra attacked.
Sabizada Fahan and Fahar Zaman have temporarily revived Pakistan’s innings, but the Indian spinner trio hastily involved six wickets in 10 overs, rushing for Pakistan to finish the 20 overs.
That was what Afridi and leg spin bowler Sufiyan Mukim hit four fours and two sixes, the 19th inning, when Pakistan hit the 100 mark.
The prosperity of the later period helped Pakistan set a relatively respectable target of 128, but it was by no means enough for the power-packed Indian batting lineup.
India left at two points and left without shaking hands with the Pakistani team.
Meanwhile, Pakistan was left to miss another opportunity.
Aga’s team will play their next match against the UAE on Wednesday, and India will face Oman on Friday.
