Hilaria Baldwin slams critics for saying her 12-year-old daughter Carmen dresses ‘very old’ for her age
Hilaria Baldwin is defending her daughter Carmen.
The Baldwins star clapped back at online criticism of an outfit worn by her and husband Alec Baldwin’s 12-year-old son in a recent Instagram video.
Some users thought Carmen looked too “adult” for the tween in the white tank top, short khaki skirt, black tights and pearl body chain she wears in the clip, which shows her lip-syncing to the song with her sisters Maria Lucia, 4, and Ilaria, 2.
One commenter wrote, “It’s very disturbing to see a 12 year old act like this,” while another said Carmen was “too young to make a video.”
A third commenter added: “You look much older than 12.”
But Hilaria wasn’t chatting around her daughter. As she stated in a Jan. 20 response video, “My kids are very safe in tank tops, skirts, and tights. She’s been wearing them her whole life, so why does that make you uncomfortable?”
“Through these kinds of comments, women can cause more harm to each other,” the 42-year-old continued, “because it’s shameful and it’s not inclusive.”
