Hailey Bieber doesn’t like the light the internet shines on her.
The Lorde founder recently addressed online speculation that she reposted a TikTok denouncing “abuse” in her marriage to Justin Bieber.
“Hey,” she captioned a Jan. 10 Instagram Story post. “I know you guys living on the internet are really bored, but I didn’t repost the video talking about my relationship.”
She added, “Have a wonderful Saturday!”
Her comments came after an online user posted a screen recording of the model’s TikTok repost to X on January 10, which featured a video of another user analyzing the couple’s photos and videos.
“Most of the long-term relationships we romanticize and celebrate only work because the woman is a forgiving codependent,” the user said in a Jan. 8 TikTok video. “And when I say tolerate, I mean she tolerates mediocrity and abuse and takes on most of the domestic and emotional labor in exchange for being in a relationship. And that’s a deal I opt out of.”
He added: “There’s no better example than Hailey Bieber and Justin Bieber.”
