Gayle King isn’t burying Reid. She becomes a grandmother again.
The CBS Morning anchor announced that son Will Bumpass and wife Elise Smith are expecting their first child.
“Breaking news! Our family is growing!!,” the 70-year-old wrote on Instagram on Nov. 6. “My darling son @willgb3 and my darling daughter-in-law, the lovely @elisemariesmith, have given me permission to share photos from Sunday’s baby shower and baby shoot. They can’t wait, and so can everyone who loves them!”
Gail’s post included a series of photos from Will and Elise’s maternity shoot, showing them posing with their dog and smiling on the beach, with the mom-to-be showing off her baby belly. The photo dump also included a series of photos of the couple at the brown-themed baby shower posing with parents and attendees, including Gail’s friend Oprah Winfrey and her longtime partner Stedman Graham.
“I can’t wait to see them become parents,” Gail told Oprah Daily in an interview published Nov. 6. “They are overjoyed and I am by their side, ready to take on whatever mission they need!”
