Dancing with the Stars’ Elaine Hendricks talks about hospitalization and absence from Halloween episode
Elaine Hendricks is on the mend.
Hours before taking the stage with professional partner Alan Bersten on Dancing with the Stars’ Halloween Night, the Parent Trap star was hospitalized during a dance rehearsal and was forced to miss the Oct. 28 episode.
“I hurt my ribs during ‘Defying Gravity’ and it finally healed today,” Elaine shared in a video posted to her Instagram. “I couldn’t move. They took me to the hospital.”
And although he was unable to enter the ballroom this week due to injury, the Dynasty alum insisted he would recover in time for next week’s game.
“My doctor said I should be able to continue working after a day or two of rest, and that’s exactly what I want to do,” Elaine continued. “I want to dance, and I want to keep dancing.”
The 54-year-old went on to thank Alan for “holding the fort” and encouraged fans to vote for the pair this week, with footage of them rehearsing the Argentine tango to George Thorogood & The Destroyers’ song “Bad To The Bone” aired during the episode. This practice earned them 8 points across the board from the judges, which will be counted towards this week’s score.
