Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson makes everyone do a fast, intense double take.
When he appeared at the Miu Miu Women’s Tales event held on August 30th at the 2025 Venice Film Festival, the dramatic weight loss transformation of his upcoming film The Smashing Machine was a complete display of his upcoming film The Smashing Machine.
Dwayne portrays the real-life MMA fighter Mark Carr in the film, but he captures his new slim-down appearance while out, wearing a silk short sleeved blue button-down decorated with colorful sketches and straight legged black pants. In a video filmed from this opportunity and shared on X on August 31, the 53-year-old looked very different as he thrusts his hands into his pockets and smiles for the camera.
Following the announcement, many fans were impressed by the new look that turned his head. As one user wrote to X, “Yep had to do a double take.”
Others pointed out how much his body has changed with a light quip about his stage name.
“The rock has become pebbles,” another user said, but the third added that “changes into pebbles.”
