Duchess Kate expresses gratitude for all that life has to offer.
The Princess of Wales, who is mother to children Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, with husband Prince William, shared a touching message to mark Christmas, reflecting on the ups and downs of the past year.
“At a time when life can sometimes feel fragmented and uncertain, the Christmas season invites us to remember the power of reaching out to one another with generosity, understanding and hope,” she said on ITV’s holiday special Royal Carol: Together for Christmas, which aired on December 24.
The Duchess, who announced in January that she was in remission from cancer, went on to thank the nation for “the warmth, the kindness you have given us, the quiet, constant light you have given to others.”
“The time, care and compassion you give makes an amazing difference in the lives of others, often silently, without words, without any expectations or recognition,” the 42-year-old continued. “As the year draws to a close, I hope this season brings you moments of peace and clarity, and that you too feel surrounded by the same generous amount of love and care.”
