Dove Cameron and Damiano David’s romance has risen to new heights.
The Disney Channel star has confirmed that she is engaged to the frontman of Italian rock band Mannequin after two years of dating.
Dove captioned her Jan. 3 Instagram post, “My favorite part of being alive,” and unveiled her new sparkler as the couple looked at each other lovingly. “Happy new year.”
Dove sparked engagement rumors on Oct. 29 by wearing a giant, sparkly ring on Damiano’s finger while walking with him in Sydney, Australia.
In fact, their relationship took off right after they celebrated their second anniversary.
“The best two years of my life,” Dove wrote on Instagram on October 9th, along with a photo of PDA. “I cry at least once a week because you have made my life so beautiful. I love you more than words can express. But I will never stop trying. Buon anniversario amore mio.”
Damiano’s reaction? Well, he admitted that their romance was “the best part of being alive.”
The pair first met at the 2022 MTV VMAs, where the Descendants star and the Italian rocker Band were both nominated for Best New Artist.
Winner Dove told Cosmopolitan in 2024, “You just run into different artists backstage. And when you meet them, I don’t think you talked to Damiano.”
