Jim Cramer’s CNBC Investment Club hosts a “Morning Meeting” livestream every weekday at 10:20 a.m. ET. A recap of Friday’s key moments. 1. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite rose on Friday, helped by strength in Big Tech stocks such as the club that owns Amazon. The e-commerce giant released a big earnings report Thursday night, led by growth in its cloud computing division. The stock price is up more than 10%. Friday is also the last trading session of October. Next week, the club names Eaton, DuPont and Texas Roadhouse are scheduled to report quarterly results. 2. Don’t own Apple stock? Jim Cramer advises new investors to consider starting a position if the stock continues to fall on Friday. Apple stock should rise, with an impressive quarterly earnings report released Thursday evening showing there is more room for the iPhone maker’s stock to rise. Apple released strong earnings guidance and achieved significant revenue growth in its key high-margin services segment. “Let’s embrace that. And if you don’t have an Apple, you’ll buy one,” Jim added. “We have the same attitude we’ve always had: It’s ours and we won’t trade it.” 3. Investors should also consider buying into Nike and Boeing, which continue to be underperforming club names. Shares of Nike and Boeing have each fallen about 7% over the past month. “Non-tech markets are bad,” Jim said Friday. The footwear giant and the aircraft maker have both been unfairly punished, and their turnaround stories remain strong. “These companies have improved significantly,” he added. We bought Nike stock on Friday morning. 4. The stocks featured at the end of Friday’s video were Chevron, Reddit, and Netflix. (See here for a complete list of Jim Cramer Charitable Trust stocks.)
