Taylor Swift, Ellas Tour Documentary Series, Concert Film: All the Fascinating Details Revealed
Welcome to the end of an era.
A year after Taylor Swift wrapped up her record-breaking Elas Tour, she’s taking fans on the road as she looks back on one of her most captivating chapters to date. In the first two episodes of her new docuseries, released on Disney+ on December 12, Taylor and her touring family bring the curtain down on their historic journey with candid interviews and behind-the-scenes footage.
“There were two main factors that culminated in The Eras Tour, and both were unpleasant,” Taylor explained in the first episode of the docuseries, “Welcome to the Eras Tour.” “The first one was my entire catalog of my first six albums, which were sold off to other people by my people. And I decided, sort of defiantly, to re-record all of my music.”
Taylor announced in May that she would officially own all of her music, after a years-long battle and a deal to acquire the master recordings of her first six albums (Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, Reputation). She explained that this experience planted a seed in her heart to respect and celebrate the work of the past.
