‘Matlock’ actor David Del Rio’s wife accuses co-star of sexual assault allegations
Leah Lewis relies on her family.
After the Matlock actress’ co-star David Del Rio was dropped from the CBS series starring Kathy Bates over sexual assault allegations, Leah, who plays attorney Sarah Franklin on the series, shared an update with fans, according to multiple news outlets.
“Mom is here,” she wrote on her now-expired Instagram Story on Oct. 9, as seen in a screenshot shared by Deadline. “We are moving forward in love and strength. I will be okay. Thank you to everyone for all kinds of support and care.”
Alongside a photo of herself hugging her mother, Lorraine Lewis, Leah continued, “We are truly moving forward with great strength. The key word is strength. I want you to think of it as a harvest.”
Following the 28-year-old’s message, David’s wife Katherine Del Rio responded to the controversy and slammed Leah.
In a screenshot of Katherine’s expired Instagram Story posted by Us Weekly, she shared a close-up photo of Leah and wrote, “This is the most insecure human being I’ve ever met.”
