Leonardo DiCaprio will love Teyana Taylor no matter what she calls him.
The One Battle After Another co-stars shared a hilarious moment with other cast members backstage at the 2026 Critics’ Choice Awards, where they were both nominated for acting awards.
Teyana, who played Perfidia, a character who has two children named Pat and Willa (Chase Infinity), played by Leo, in the Paul Thomas Anderson film, spoke at length about her preparation for the role.
“Preparing for Perfidia was a lot of conversations with P, good conversations, right?” the 35-year-old exclusively told Darin Karp in an interview on E!. News at the ceremony on January 4th. “We really built these layers, adjusted the colors, and set up Perfidia to step back and baby girl Willa to stand up and take on these battles here with Pops.”
When asked what he thought about Teyana calling him “Pops,” Leo accepted the nickname, even though he doesn’t have any children himself.
“I love it,” the 51-year-old says without pause. “I like it. I don’t care what she calls me.”
