Conan O’Brien breaks silence about death after last outing at Michelle and Rob Reiner’s holiday party
Conan O’Brien is reflecting on an unimaginable tragedy.
The comedian reflected on the life of Rob Reiner and his wife Michelle Singer Reiner. Reiner was found dead in his Los Angeles home on December 14, one day after the couple attended Liza Powell O’Brien’s holiday party with their 32-year-old son Nick Reiner.
“Long story short, we had a party, invited some really good friends, and the next day this horrible thing happened,” Conan said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter on March 9. “Whatever hardships my wife and I have experienced in having our name named, they are nothing compared to the scale of our family tragedy and Rob and Michelle’s deaths.”
“When you’re a famous person, sometimes your name gets in trouble, but it’s not difficult. It’s just sad to see them go,” he added.
The How Harry Met Sally director and his wife, along with their children Jake Reiner, 34, and Romy Reiner, 27, attended the Conan holiday party with Nick the day before his body was found with fatal stab wounds.
