In comes Christina, who was married to Kenan, 47, from 2011 until they filed for divorce in June 2022.
“This woman was the only person who called me. Please help me with my work,” he explained. “She helped me through my therapeutic journey. Talking to me about her life helped me see many of the people involved in a different way. And that’s when we fell in love.”
But Chris says it wasn’t an easy decision to form a romantic relationship with Christina.
“I felt bad from the beginning,” he added, noting that it was like an “emotional double-edged sword.”
He later continued, “But I chose love.”
And Kenan, who shares daughters Georgia Marie, 11, and Gianna Michelle, 7, with the Garden by Evangeline founder, insisted she was not completely unaware of the couple’s relationship. According to Chris, the pair, who also co-starred on NBC’s Kenan from 2021 to 2022, had a chance to discuss their budding relationship.
“We were cool, so we continued to work for a year after we talked about it,” he said, revealing that they agreed to “keep this a secret.” “And as soon as everyone found out, things changed.”
