Chris Pratt explains why Katherine Schwarzenegger’s kids didn’t see the movie
If Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger’s kids actually start watching movies, their father’s body of work should keep them busy, at least for a while.
“When the season comes around, they’re going to realize that their dad is really cool,” Chris joked on TODAY. “They don’t know it yet, but someday.”
And once Lyla, 5, Eloise, 3, and Ford, 16 months, have exhausted their father’s movie shelf for kids, the release of Super Mario Galaxy Movie adds to the pile, and they eventually discover their grandfather’s movies.
“Katherine is very old-school when it comes to screens and technology and everything,” Chris explained. “Then I’ll be waiting for you.”
But the actor’s 13-year-old son Jack and ex-wife Anna Faris, who accompanied him to Tokyo to promote the Super Mario Bros. sequel, think his father’s PG proposal is “pretty cool.”
As a result, Chris started making more quality family films. Because “we want to make movies that entertain kids, but we also want to make movies that are compassionate to parents,” Chris told Men’s Journal.
In the meantime, he and Katherine keep their little ones busy with lots of parks and rec.
