The English Football Association has brought 74 accusations against Premier League club Chelsea, advocating for regulating football agents, regulating cooperation with intermediaries and regulating third-party investment in player control.
“The acts covered by the fee range from 2009 to 2022 and are primarily related to events that occurred during the 2010-11 to 2015-16 season,” the FA said in a statement.

The FA did not elaborate on the charges, but Chelsea said the issue was “self-reported” by the club after the ownership change in May 2022.
At the time, the London Club was owned by Rome’s Abramovich, but the Russian billionaire sold Chelsea in 2022 after Russia’s sanctions after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
He has completed sales to an investment group led by Todd Boley and Clearlake Capital.
“During the thorough due diligence process prior to completion of purchases, ownership groups have now become aware of potentially incomplete financial reports regarding historical transactions and other potential infringements of FA regulations,” Chelsea said in a statement.
“As soon as the purchase was completed, the club self-reported these issues to all relevant regulators, including the FA.
“The club demonstrated unprecedented transparency during this process, including providing comprehensive access to club files and historical data.
“We will work together with the FA to conclude this issue as quickly as possible.”
