Life itself is a miracle, not to mention the chance to grow something new inside your body.
And, according to the latest medical expertise, as a woman ages, her chances of getting pregnant and carrying a baby to term decrease. As you reach your mid to late 30s.
But waiting until then or later to have children (or have more) is becoming increasingly common in society, especially among celebrity mothers.
“I really wanted another baby. I really did,” Gwen Stefani said on a recent episode of Hallow, recalling that the idea was unthinkable for her at 43 years old. “But I couldn’t, and I was too old. Then my oldest son, Kingston, came to me and said, ‘Mom, I really want you to have a baby.'” I said, ‘Sorry, your mom is too old to have a baby.’ ”
Stefani continued that Kingston, now 19, prayed for her and then “about four weeks later” she became pregnant with her and then-husband Gavin Rossdale’s third child. Apollo was born in February 2014 when his mother was 44 years old.
The No Doubt singer, who is also mother to 17-year-old Zuma, said it was an “absolute gift” and summed up the whole experience as a “miracle”.
