The story of how Jelly Rolly and Bunnie Xo met
Bunny Zoe and Jelly Roll’s love story began in Las Vegas.
As she recalled on Bussin’ With The Boys, she met the singer when they performed at a country saloon in Las Vegas in August 2015. This was before jelly rolls became famous. At the time, he was living in a van and estimated about 20 people came to the show.
Instead, their spark took center stage.
“When I met him, I tell people this is the craziest cliché, but literally my soul was like, ‘I’m there,'” Bunny said on a 2023 podcast. “And he’s not my type. I’m not his type. He loves Taylor Swift. That’s his type.”
Still, romance didn’t happen right away. Bunny was in an unhealthy relationship and Jelly Roll was being selfish, she continued. However, in October 2015 they connected again. As Bunny said, she was “just shocked.”
She added that after her ex-boyfriend went to prison, she told a friend to give Jelly Roll her phone number. Bunny said the musician calls and texts her asking for advice about his daughter, Bailey, from a previous relationship.
However, Bunny stated that her bond with Jelly Roll changed from platonic to romantic in July 2016 when Jelly Roll returned to Las Vegas for a video shoot and they slept together.
“We were kind of drunk,” she recalled. “I’m trying to get it up, put it in, put it on, and take it out, and the guy was like, ‘What’s your five-year plan?’
So, they talked about their goals and Bunny remembered Jellyroll saying, “Okay, cool. Let’s do it.”
