Champions League runners-up Inter Milan became the latest Bodo/Glimt claim in the Champions League as the Italian giants lost 3-1 away in the first leg of the play-offs.
The Norwegian outsiders have been the surprise story of this season’s competition, beating Manchester City at home and Atletico Madrid away to reach the play-offs.

The club is located north of the Arctic Circle, further north than any team in Champions League history.
Serie A leaders Inter were aiming for a seventh consecutive win in all competitions, but midfielder Sondre Branstad Fett scored a stunning goal in the 20th minute on Wednesday, leaving them behind.
Robust striker Pio Esposito equalized 10 minutes later with a well-placed goal, but the hosts scored two goals in quick succession in the second half to put Inter ahead.
Both were similar, with quick passing and selfless assists.
The second goal came after forward Kasper Hogg rolled the ball into Jens Petter Hauge who fired a powerful shot into the top corner of the goal in the 61st minute.
The winger, who previously had a short spell in Serie A with AC Milan, celebrated by jumping and kicking the corner flag.
Three minutes later, the fans at the 8,000-capacity Aspmila Stadion cheered again when Hot scored his third goal from Ole Didrik Blomberg’s equalizer.
The return game will be next Tuesday.
Elsewhere, Club Brugge’s Christos Tzoris scored a late equalizer to secure a dramatic 3-3 draw with Atletico Madrid in the Champions League play-off first leg on Wednesday, with the Belgian side avoiding defeat after a painful own goal appeared to have ruined them.
Tzoris tied the score in the 89th minute with an angled shot. The goal was initially disallowed for offside, but a VAR check confirmed the goal.
Brugge fought back from a 2-0 deficit in the first half to level the score, but in the 79th minute, Joel Ordonez seemed to have turned the game around when he slotted the ball into his own net.
Still, they go into next Tuesday’s return match in Madrid with this score level.
Bayer Leverkusen striker Patrik Schick scored two goals in three minutes to lead his team to a 2-0 victory over Olympiakos in the Champions League last-16 play-off first leg on Wednesday.
The Czech forward slipped past his marker to score just before the hour mark and quickly added his second goal with a downward header from Alex Grimaldo’s corner kick.
Newcastle United beat Qarabag 6-1 away in the first leg of the Champions League play-offs on Wednesday, with Anthony Gordon scoring four goals in the first half, all but sealing their place in the last 16.
Gordon completed his hat-trick in the 33rd minute at Baku’s Tofik Bakramov Stadium and scored his fourth goal in first-half stoppage time to give Newcastle a 5-0 lead by half-time against Qarabag.
Malik Thiaw also scored for the Premier League side, taking 16 shots in the first half.
Ervin Jafarguliev scored one goal for Karabagh, making it one of the surprise stories of this season’s Champions League as they qualified for the play-offs. However, Jacob Murphy’s deflected attack resulted in a complete defeat for Newcastle, and if they advance they will become the fifth English team to qualify for the last 16.
