Colorful sneakers look set to be the next hot trend to take over spring. PUMA’s H Street sneaker line is a new collection that boldly incorporates that stance. The campaign, which launched in March, features the brand’s global ambassador Blackpink Rosé wearing the sneakers in a classic suburban (and slightly surreal) lawn version.
H Street is a reinvention of PUMA’s Y2K archive athletics track design and late 90’s Harambee silhouette. In other words, it combines the casual mesh and lightweight feel of a Harambee with the sprinting feel of a running shoe.
But what is this collection’s most striking design decision? The unapologetically bold color combinations. Not very sporty. It still has that effortless PUMA vibe.
“The Puma H-Street has quickly become one of my favorites. It’s effortless and most importantly, super comfortable and light as air. It’s super cute and one of those shoes that you can easily wear with any outfit,” Rosé said in a statement.
Additionally, this collection includes one pair of unreleased ballet sneakers. Officially launching on the site on March 31st, the H Street Ballet sneakers maintain the same mesh, lightweight, and colorful look as the other shoes in the line. However, it will be available for purchase at Nordstrom as soon as possible.
