Bad Bunny breaks down in tears after making Grammy history by winning Spanish-language album award
Bad Bunny is still embracing it all.
The “DtMF” singer won Album of the Year for the record “DeBí TiRAR MáS FOToS” at the 2026 Grammy Awards held in Los Angeles on February 1st. And before accepting the gold gramophone on stage at the Crypto.com Arena, he had an emotional moment alone. (Click here to see all the celebrities who attended the 68th Annual Grammy Awards.)
In fact, as everyone in the audience stood and applauded, Bad Bunny (whose DeBí TiRAR MáS FOToS made history as the first Spanish-language album to win the show’s top honor) sat down, covered his eyes with his hands, and broke down in tears after presenter Harry Styles announced his name.
And the “EoO” artist continued to wipe tears from his eyes when he finally took to the podium, where he quietly savored the record-breaking moment before sharing his gratitude for his homeland of Puerto Rico and his family.
Bad Bunny told the crowd, “I want to dedicate this award to all the people who had to leave their homeland to pursue their dreams.”
