Ariana Grande releases details about parting ways with Cynthia Erivo after 5 years on ‘Wicked’
It’s been a rewarding yellow brick road for Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo.
To coincide with the box office release of the highly anticipated film Wicked: For Good, both stars, who play Glinda and Elphaba, respectively, in the film, spoke candidly about what it meant to them to be part of the project.
“I can write an essay, poem, or Shakespearean prose to explain what this journey has meant to me, what it has taught me, and how it has helped me,” Cynthia captioned a Nov. 21 Instagram post. “I could try to give a measure to the love I felt and experienced. I could try to give a number to the stories I heard. The truth is that numbers are too small and words are not enough.”
But that didn’t stop the Harriet actress from making viewers excited for the second installment of Jon M. Chu’s Wicked two-parter.
“So I’ll just say this,” she continued. “Take my hand and walk with me to the end of this road paved with gold, and you may find what I have found. Thank you for making me your Elphaba.”
