Anna Camp isn’t afraid to share her truth.
Almost a year after confirming his relationship with girlfriend Jade Whipkey last May, she has shared insight into her journey with her sexuality and why she is now publicly coming out as bisexual.
“As a 43-year-old woman, I’m very proud of owning my sexuality at this age,” Anna said on the March 10 episode of the I’ve Never Said This Before with Tommy DiDario podcast, in a clip obtained by People magazine. “I’m a very strong person to do this job in a bit of a spotlight where people criticize and judge and make assumptions. I’m really proud to be bisexual.”
The star, who was married to Michael Mosley from 2010 to 2013 and to Pitch Perfect co-star Skyler Austin from 2016 to 2019, admitted that she went through a “huge evolution in her 40s” and is embracing “not being afraid of it.”
“Yes, there are times when I feel like I’m taking a risk, but it’s scary and I’m doing it in public,” she explained. “But life is about saying, ‘No, I only live once and I want to be happy.'”
