Amy Schumer is advocating for self-love this Valentine’s Day, even if it feels like a train wreck.
In fact, the I Feel Pretty star shared a glimpse of her plans for a relatable love day a month after filing for divorce from husband Chris Fischer.
“Give yourself all the love today. Happy Bye Day,” Amy wrote in a selfie on her Instagram Stories on February 14th.
In the snap, the 44-year-old can be seen posing in front of a makeshift ‘crying corner’ sign. To complete her set-up, Amy, who gave the camera wide eyes and a tight smile, grabbed a box of tissues and two bottles of water.
Her candid V-Day post comes a month after the Trainwreck star, who shares 6-year-old son Gene with Chris, filed for legal separation from her husband of seven years on Jan. 6, according to New York County court records reviewed by E! news.
A lawyer representing Amy filed papers for an “uncontested joint divorce.” This means that there are no disagreements between the parties about how money, property, and child custody should be divided in the event of a divorce.
Less than a month later, the comedian revealed that he and Chris, 45, had “made the difficult decision” to end their marriage.
