Shandi Sullivan became a ‘con artist’
America’s Next Top Model Cycle 2 finalist Shandi Sullivan, who had a boyfriend back home, was photographed in bed with a male model who was partying at a contestant’s house in Milan on the March 16, 2004 episode of “The Girl Who Cheat.” Shandy said she felt drunk and passed out on the 2026 Netflix series “Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model” and thought producers should have intervened.
“I think after I got out of the bath and what happened after that,” Shandy said on the show. “I think they should have said, well, this has gone too far and we have to pull her out of this situation.”
Also, in the ANTM episode, Shandy calls her boyfriend in tears the next morning to confess her affair, and then contacts a model in Milan to ask if she has a sexually transmitted disease.
When asked about Shandy, Tyra Banks told Reality Check, “I remember her story. It’s a little difficult to talk about production because that’s not my area.”
Executive producer Ken Mok said in the doc, “We treated ‘Top Model’ as a documentary and told the girls on day one that we would go over the rules with them, that cameras would be watching them 24/7, and that we would cover the good, the bad and everything in between.”
Tyra added, “I’m not in charge of the story, I mean Ken Mok. But I became the master editor. It’s important for people to know that we didn’t put everything on TV.”
Eh! The News reached out to Tyra and Ken for comment but did not receive a response.
