Amazon announced Wednesday that it will always introduce AI agents to help platform sellers run their businesses. The company updates Seller Assistant, an AI tool for third-party sellers, to help handle tasks on behalf of the seller.
“Our Agent AI capabilities are designed to work seamlessly throughout the sales experience. This means that sellers can work with intelligent assistants who work proactively around the clock, from handling all tasks. “Seller assistants can handle everything from day-to-day operations to complex business strategies, allowing sellers to focus on innovation and growth.”
Seller assistants can not only monitor the health and inventory of your account, but also help you develop strategies and take action when they are permitted, Amazon says.
For example, if the seller is reviewing inventory, the seller’s assistant recommends that it makes sense to flag a slow moving product before earning long-term storage charges and leave the item to lower the price, or remove it entirely. Seller Assistant can also analyze demand patterns and prepare shipping recommendations.
Seller Assistant will continuously monitor the seller’s accounts and potential issues and actions, including inventory lists that may violate new product safety regulations. Additionally, we can automatically assure you that all of our sellers’ products meet compliance requirements in all countries where they are selling.
Agent-led commercial transactions are an area of great interest to tech companies, imagining a future in which agents can start and make purchases on behalf of their clients. On Tuesday, Google released a new payment protocol for Agent Transactions, but Amazon was not appointed as a partner.
Amazon has also announced that it will lead agent AI to ads, allowing sellers to develop ads through conversation prompts.
