Before he leaves, Alex Warren wants to straighten the record.
The “regular” singer told him he had cancelled his upcoming performance at the Sommmo Festival on Prince Edward Island, Canada, for a higher pay gig.
“Four weeks ago I asked for a holiday,” he began with a video from Tiktok on September 4th. “I’ve been through a lot. I’ve been touring all year round, rehearsing for my birthday. All these different things. I wanted to be away a week where I could go and see my therapist.”
Alex said his team “talked to the festival organizers” and that the producer of a talk show that will follow a two-day musical event featuring headliner Alanis Morissette and Hodzier has cancelled his appearance.
“I thought it was handled,” the 24-year-old continued, explaining that the cancellation was “not announced” until he issued a statement saying he was leaving the show for another gig. “it’s not.”
Sharing communication between his team and the festival organizers as “untilized”, Alex continued to apologise for the confusion.
