Alcaraz will return to the No. 1 spot after winning his fifth Grand Slam title in New York and second in 2025 in the 4 sets of 2025.

Carlos Alcaraz pulled a gentle and ferocious performance away from the US Open Men’s Singles Final in four sets in front of a sold-out crowd at Arthur Ash Stadium in New York.
Alcaraz claimed his second US Open title in a victory 6-2 3-6 6-1 6-4 on Sunday as US President Donald Trump watched along with his aides and delayed the start of the match due to extensive security checks from the audience.

With the perfect echo of victory that first drove him to the number one spot in 2022, Alcaraz’s second New York title brought him back to the top of the world rankings as the 22-year-old Spaniard evacuated the sinners and raised his Grand Slam trophy to six.
“I want to start with Jannik. It’s incredible to see you do it on a great level in every tournament you play all season.
“It’s great to share the court, share the locker room and share everything with you.
“I’m really proud of the people I have. All the achievements I have are thanks to you, and thanks to you… this is yours.”
As grey clouds floated above the iconic Arthur Ash Stadium, Alcaraz continued to deliver the sunlight tennis brightened up the Flushing Meadows over the last two weeks, consolidating early breaks by forging drops to hit the wrong sinners on the winners.
He pulled out the outrageous half-boree on the net and then quickly rounded out the opening set, finishing it off with a big serve that sinner crashed into the net as the precision of Italian metronomics temporarily escaped, but the sinner took the next set after saving an early breakpoint.
It was the third straight grand slam final between this year’s duo.
After missing some steps to drop the first set of the championship, Alcaraz blew the way to a 5-0 advantage in the third set, and as Thinner reached the board, the Spaniards closed it with a monster serve.
The sinner reminded him of two breathtaking volleys in the opening game of the fourth set, and held the serve after being pushed back to the limit again, but he cracked under pressure and handed Alcaraz a key break in the fifth game.
Alkaraz, who resembles a flamingo on the flight with his bright pink vest, was blessed by moving forward to secure a victory at his third match point and raising his fist before a warm embrace with rivals and wild celebrations with his team.
After a shortage of French open epics in June, the disappointing sinners are left to contemplate the final defeat of another grand slam to Alcaraz this season.
“A lot of the big stages and matches we’ve played this season,” Thinner said after quickly composing herself.
“I tried my best today. I couldn’t do any more.”
