AI data center startup Nscale has raised $2 billion at a $14.6 billion valuation as the AI infrastructure boom continues, the company announced Monday.
Series C featured Nvidia and was led by Aker ASA and 8090 Industries. Also featured were Astra Capital Management, Citadel, Dell, Jane Street, Lenovo, Linden Advisors, Nokia, and Point72.
The new funding will help accelerate the development of Nscale’s vertically integrated AI infrastructure across Europe, North America and Asia, from GPU computing and networking to data services and orchestration software, the company said in a statement.
The AI boom is “leading to the greatest infrastructure build-out in human history,” said Josh Payne, CEO and founder of UK-based Nscale, echoing previous comments from Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, who invested in the round. “We are building this foundation upon which the market will stand, an engine of superintelligence.”
