Billionaire Andrej Bavis’s No Party won the Czech Republic parliamentary election on Saturday, boosting the government’s prospects to boost European populists, anti-immigrant camps and reduce Ukraine’s support.

Ebullient Babis told supporters that Ano wanted a one-party cabinet but would talk to two small parties, including the far-right SPD, as his party lacks a full majority.

He again rejected the accusation that his victory would make the Central European nation a partner of the unreliable European Union and NATO.

“We want to save Europe…and we are clearly pro-Europe and pro-Nat,” Bavis told reporters.

With almost all the results obtained, the ANO was set up to replace the current central right cabinet led by Prime Minister Petr Fiala. Fiara blessed Bavis and admitted defeat.

The ANO has pledged to reduce tax and pension increases, higher wages and pensions, and tax discounts for students and young families during the campaign.

These pledges that cost billions of euros, end austerity and test the country’s frugal thinking have resonated with many Czechs whose actual income is leaning in as the country tackles rising inflation in recent years.

But Bavis has to overcome several hurdles to becoming prime minister, including the law of profits as owner of chemicals and food empires and the long-term fraud charges associated with withdrawing EU subsidies more than 15 years ago.

According to the Bureau of Statistics, 99% of the voting districts were counted, with ANO leading in second place with 34.7% and Spolu 23.2%.

President Petr Pavel, who will appointed the next prime minister, was expected to begin consultations with party leaders on Sunday.

ANO was seen winning around 80 seats in the House of Representatives, as the outcome forecast showed, so it is necessary to find wider support.

Bavis said he would talk to drivers opposed to the EU’s green policy and drivers opposed to the anti-EU and anti-Nat SPD.

Driver leader Petr Masicka said he was open to discussions with ANO, similar to SPD.

“We will also be taking part in the election with the aim of ending the government of Petr Fiara and supporting that minority cabinet will be important to us and will achieve this election goal,” SPD Vice-Chairman Radim Fiara told television.

Overall, Fringe’s pro-Lucia party is worse than expected with partial results, with SPD at 7.8%, with Stashiro on the left and right! was built around the Communist Party and fell below the 5% threshold to enter Parliament.

Bavis, who led the cabinet left in the center from 2017 to 2021, once wanted to join the Euro, but has since become a supporter of US President Donald Trump, handing out “strong Czech” baseball caps inspired by Trump’s Magus Logan.

Bavis, an ally of Hungarian leader Victor Orban, has worked with many far-right parties in the European Parliament’s patriot group to challenge the mainstream direction of European policies, including decarburization.

He refused calls from the SPD and held a referendum on leaving the EU and NATO, but said it would end the “Czech initiative” in which millions of cannon rounds from around the world from all over the world for Ukraine, funded by Western donors.

The ANO hopes that NATO and the EU will handle Ukrainian aid, with a vote from the European Parliament supporting bids for EU memberships that Kyiv and its Babis have previously opposed.
