Suspect
Police said an unidentified suspect was killed after a firearms officer was shot dead just seven minutes after being called into the case at the synagogue. Police said they believe they know his identity, but believe it is “premature” to name him now.
Police have not previously confirmed his death due to “safety issues” related to “suspected items of his person” which had the appearance of the explosive device. The bomb disposal unit was sent to the site. It’s not clear what the bomb disposal unit found in the suspect. Police also said two other people were arrested in connection with the attack.
