UN (AP) – Ukrainian President Voldy Meezelensky told world leaders on Wednesday that the world is in “the most destructive arms race in history,” and called on the international community to act now against Russia, claiming that Vladimir Putin wants to expand his war in Europe.
“We are now living through the most destructive arms race in history,” Zelensky told the UN General Assembly. “Ukraine was the first, and now Russian drones are already flying across Europe, and Russian operations are already spreading across the country.

Zelenki’s comments came the day after he met President Donald Trump, who expressed his support for Ukrainian efforts and criticised Russia.
