Disney On Tuesday, the price increase for streaming subscription packages was announced starting October 21st.

The standalone Disney+ ad-supported plan increases by $2 per month, while the Premium NO-ADS plan either jumps between $3-$18.99 per month, or raises $30 per year to $189.99 per year.

Disney+ and Hulu ad support packages will increase by $2 per month, while both Disney+, Hulu and ESPN bundles will increase by $3 per month. Disney+, Hulu and HBO Max packages also increase by $3 per month.

The NFL+ plan remains at the same price.

The company previously hinted at a price increase in its third quarter revenue call, adding that it expects a slight increase in Disney+ subscribers in the fourth fiscal quarter. Disney raised the price of the package in October 2024, but most plans increased from $1 to $2.

Price hikes take place as entertainment companies face intense scrutiny over the processing of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Disney’s subsidiary ABC aired the show last week over controversial comments about the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

The company announced that the show will air on Tuesday after nearly a week later, after viewers and the show’s host criticized Disney for its actions.

In the interim, some fans went to social media to announce that they had cancelled their Disney+ subscription in solidarity with Kimmel.

Disney did not immediately respond to CNBC’s request for comments about price changes.
