Royals unfold red carpet for Trump
The first day of President Donald Trump’s visit to the state was filled with bazoobies, horses, bayonets, marching bands, red arrows, a procession of carriages, patriotic songs and Panna Cotta.
However, one thing that was absent was British citizens.
At safe shelters in rural England, Trump was soaking up the ceremony. In London, thousands of British people have made their feelings clear about the US president.

President Trump meets King Charles at Windsor Castle
Foreign leaders on state visits to the UK are usually held at Buckingham Palace in central London. However, Trump was hosted at Windsor Castle outside the capital.
The official explanation is that Buckingham Palace has been renovated. It could have been a happy coincidence for the British government. The UK government wants to keep special guests arm-length from British citizens.
From afar, some Brits expressed discomfort. On Tuesday evening, activists projected images of Trump and Jeffrey Epstein, the late convicted sex offenders, on Windsor Castle. On Wednesday, the people of London took him to the streets to protest the president’s visit.
