Title holder Paris Saint-Germain was stoked to victory in the opening game of the Champions League defence, with Liverpool finding a more late winning goal with a stunning start of the season.

Liverpool captain Vilgilvandick scored on the header in two minutes of suspension time, winning a 3-2 victory over Atletico Madrid, making it appear that his team was trying to waste a two-goal lead seized just six minutes later.

Both Bayern Munich and Inter Milan have won rematches from previous finals with Chelsea and Ajax, starting an eight-game league phase program, with rookies Bodeau/Grimt and Paphos impressed by the hard-earned draw on the road.

PSG ultimately didn’t really matter the luxury of a penalty mistake by Bradleaver Cola, winning 4-0 at home in Atalanta.

Liverpool appeared to be sailing on an early goal from Andy Robertson and a typical great strike by Mohamed Sarah, but remained at first half stop time and Marcos Lorente’s goal for the 81st day.

Llorente also scored twice for Anfield in 2020, with Atletico eliminating the then defensive champion in 16 rounds.

“We probably need to go back to winning a little more simple and easy,” Liverpool’s Robertson told TNT Sports after the match.

“It’s great to be able to go last, but when you’re 2-0 it should have been a more comfortable night.”

Bayern held Chelsea 3-1 with two goals from Harry Kane, where British teammate Cole Palmer scored an impressive goal for visitors.

It was a very late comeback for Bayern’s loss to Chelsea in the 2012 final at home stadium.

Inter defeated the Italians in the 1972 European Cup final, scoring two strong head goals from Marcus Thuram in a 2-0 victory at Ajax.

Norwegian champion Bodo/Grimt saved two goals late in Slavia Prague and scored two goals to level 2-2 on the 90th, saving a second-half penalty kick.

Pafos shattered a 0-0 draw with Olympiakos after playing with 10 men from 26 minutes. Journeyman Brazilian midfielder Bruno Felipe was sent for a foul on the second yellow card.

Russian-owned Pafos was the first Cyprus team in the main phase of the Champions League since 2017, with Bodeau/Grimt finishing Norway’s 18-year absence.
