Here are five important things investors should know to start trading dates:
1. Voting of trust
Tesla The shares rose 6% this morning in pre-market trading after CEO Elon Musk revealed that he was the first to buy shares in the electric car maker in the open market in more than five years. The distance between masks of more than 2.5 million shares is equivalent to about $1 billion.
Here’s the other thing we follow:
Inventory futures are high after three major averages increased last week. There are a lot of technology Nasdaq Composite We’ve finished our best Friday session ever. Investors are betting that the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates at this week’s meeting. According to CME’s FedWatch tool, there is a 100% certainty that Fed fund futures will be reduced by at least a quarter point by the central bank. Interest rate decisions are considered primarily a trade, but traders will closely monitor FRED Chairman Jerome Powell’s speech on the future path of the rate.

There’s more broken news this morning. China’s market regulator said in a preliminary investigation nvidia When they acquired Melanox, they violated anti-mass laws.
The national government for China’s market regulation on Monday did not specify how Nvidia is said to have violated the country’s anti-monopoly laws. SAMR last year began an investigation into Nvidia’s 2020 acquisition of Israeli technology company. China approved the deal at the time, but there are several provisions, says CNBC’s Arjun Kharpal.
Nvidia shares slid about 2% before the bell.

Oracle has excited investors who are experiencing a surge in cloud growth forecasts, driven largely by expected spending from Openai. Oracle’s stock surpassed more than 25% last week, making its biggest weekly win since 1999.
As CNBC’s Mackenzie Sigalos reports, this is part of a larger trend in the technology world. Oracle, Broadcom, Microsoft And Nvidia – four companies with ties to Openai – have seen their total market capitalization grow more than $4.5 trillion since the AI company jumped into the field in 2022.
4. Breakfast Club

The tide may be changing in the breakfast business. Data shows that convenience stores are experiencing increased morning meal traffic with clips that are much faster than fast food chains, reports CNBC’s Amelia Lucas.
This has led to regional chains such as Wawa and Casey general stores investing in food service offerings. Breakfast transport can also help sell these businesses as a demand for staple foods such as gasoline and tobacco slides.
5. Swipe the swatch
Models from the Swiss watchmaker’s example are models named “What if… Tariff?” The 39% import tariff play that President Donald Trump slapped in Switzerland last month was painted on his wrist at a swatch shop in Geneva, Switzerland, on September 12, 2025, so numbers 3 and 9 were reversed to their faces.

In the special edition of the watch, it is called “What if… Customs??” Model, Swatch, swapped the locations of the 3 and 9 o’clock markers in connection with the collection of 39% of Trump in the European country. A spokesman told CNBC that if the US changes its customs policy, Swatch will “stop selling watches soon.” This watch is available only in Switzerland.
This is a very different tariff response from the ones taken by Swiss watchmaker Rolex. The company’s CEO, Jean-Frederic Dufour, appeared with Trump in the open Rolex midcoat box earlier this month.
