Human reports were affected by halt, Claude and console

Humanity reported an outage of services affecting APIs, consoles and Claude earlier this afternoon.

Users on Github and Hacker News pointed out the Claude issue around 12:20 ET and Humanity released a status update in 8 minutes, noting that the API, console and Claude AI were down. At the press conference, the company said it has implemented several fixes and is monitoring the results.

“I know of a very short stop for the API before 9:30am today,” a human spokesman told TechCrunch. “Service recovered quickly.”

Humanity has not been strangers with errors and bugs on its platform, and has had some issues over the past few months, especially with Claude and his models.

Some joked about what to do after the system went down as Claude users were waiting for a reboot. One Github user wrote about how the software engineering community is messing around with thumbs, while another user on Hacker News quoted something like this last time.
