VMAS2025: Ashley Simpson reveals the advice he gave when his mother-in-law Diana Ross returns to stage
Ashley Simpson I love every part of her stepmother, Diana Ross.
Naturally, as the “I” singer prepares to take the stage for a Las Vegas residency, she sought some advice from her husband, Evan Ross’ mom.
“She explained, ‘Trust yourself, trust yourself, trust you,’ Ashley explained with an exclusive E! News interview outside the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York September 7th. “She has my back.”
And Ashley, 40, played with her husband, who shares her children, Jaguar, 10, and Ziggy (4 years old). Ashley + Evanshe admitted that playing the old hit was an “explosion” Voltea Night Club at Venice Resort. (Click here to see all the couples that came out on Ashlee, Evan, and MTV VMAS2022.)
“Just for me to stand there and perform these shows and songs that I haven’t played in a long time,” she explained. “And understanding what it’s like to play them again makes my fans incredibly similar.”
As she said, “It was an explosion because love felt so love.”
