Kelly Clarkson is trying to break free from expectations about her love life.
The “Breakway” singer shared some relatable insight into why she’s content to be single at this point in her life.
“People say, ‘Oh, why are you single?'” Clarkson said on July 24 during a Las Vegas stay at Caesars Palace, according to footage captured by @jpasc24. “If you don’t understand what I mean, it’s like looking at a relationship and thinking, ‘I’m so happy to be able to go home by myself.'”
Indeed, there is nothing but peace behind her hazel eyes.
“You know what’s not going on in my house?” she continued. “That’s–“
And while Clarkson, who is mother to 12-year-old River and 10-year-old Remington with her late ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, took some time to catch her breath outside of the dating pool, she reflected on the most difficult aspect of keeping a romantic relationship sparkling.
“If you’re in a relationship, the hardest thing to do is keep that passion alive and continue dating,” she added. “And it’s important to make it feel magical and not monotonous.”
