Mr Byrne elaborated to Jimmy Fallon that the reptile expo was “the place to go”, pointing out that it would be a “parental failure” not to keep his promise to secure bearded dragon Benny Blue.
“I love that guy,” Jake Cannavale, his son with ex-wife Jenny Lumet, told E! Notice of new additions for March. “The funny thing is, I know my dad hated pets ever since he was a kid. And now he’s a father again and everything has changed.”
However, one status remains consistent.
Cannavale and Byrne have been dating for about 14 years, and 10 years after Byrne started wearing a rather flashy ring on her left hand, the term husband and wife started colloquially being used.
“I hate all other words! It’s easier to say ‘husband and wife,'” Cannavale explained to Vulture in January 2020. “The word ‘boyfriend and girlfriend’ feels very juvenile. The word ‘partner’ feels very barren.”
However, Byrne wasn’t completely against the cheeky proposal, joking: “My love, Bobby.”
