JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes initially seemed to be dancing around their relationship, but no one could deny the coincidence of their romance.
After getting close on Celebrity Big Brother and claiming for weeks that they were just friends, the Dance Moms alum and Love Island star finally admitted their relationship had developed into something more.
“It’s not platonic anymore,” Jojo admitted in an interview with the Guardian on June 2. “It was a great development and a beautiful connection. I really respect him and he does the same.”
In fact, Chris says he’s already thinking about his next steps.
“I want to marry her,” he told Sun Fabulous. “I’d be lying if I didn’t say we’re living out our wedding day scenario. We’ll have a proper English wedding and I can picture her in a formal wedding dress. We both want to have kids. We come from loving families. My mom loves her. She’s my best friend. I love that she’s someone I can have the best time with without having to do anything. That’s everything to me.”
By the following summer, the couple celebrated a year of dating.
