However, it is certainly not difficult for them to appear as unwavering allies of their comrades.
“There may be prejudices and preconceptions, but it’s not about you, it’s about them, and they live in a completely different world than the one you grew up in,” he explained his stance. “We all know what’s the right thing to do. We all know how to behave rightly with our children.”
Aside from moving from the OC’s digs to Beverly Hills because “the rainbow shines brighter here than in Orange County,” and partnering with organizations like The Trevor Project and GLAAD, its support appears to be just there.
“They know nothing but love and support, and I’m glad that’s true,” Heather said on a 2024 episode of RHOC. “They know there are a lot of kids who don’t have what they have, but I’m glad they feel normal.”
She and her husband would love their children anyway, but they are keenly aware that they are setting an example.
“The more we embrace and support them in public, that’s definitely the way we are,” Terry acknowledged, adding, “I hope that gets the message across.”
