Allison Williams reacts to ‘Girls’ co-star Christopher Abbott expecting baby with Aubrey Plaza
Christopher Abbott is counting his blessings.
The “Poor Things” star spoke for the first time about preparing to welcome her first child after Aubrey Plaza revealed she was pregnant in April.
During an appearance on the Today show on May 18, Jenna Bush Hager began celebrating the birth of her baby, but Christopher said that’s not the only thing he’s grateful for.
“I thought for Tony’s name,” the Girls alum joked. “I’m kidding, I know. There’s too much going on.”
Honestly, Christopher, who was nominated for a Tony Award this year for his performance in Death of a Salesman, added of the pregnancy: “I’m so happy, thank you so much. I’m so excited.”
Aubrey, 41, and Chris, 40, made their relationship public last month, with Aubrey’s representative confirming she was pregnant. Though their relationship is still in its infancy following the death of her husband Jeff Baena in 2025, the pair have been co-stars in Hollywood for years, co-starring in the 2020 film Black Bear and the 2023 off-Broadway revival of Danny and the Deep Blue Sea.
