But somewhere between DARPA’s challenges and a few driverless trucks hauling cargo between Dallas and Houston, Aurora co-founder and CEO Chris Urmson’s story changed. The self-driving truck company began commercial driverless operations last April and has expanded from a few trucks to hundreds this year.
