Britney Spears’ ex Kevin Federline responds to request for treatment after DUI arrest
Britney Spears’ ex-husband Kevin Federline is hoping for a stronger future.
After the “Toxic” singer voluntarily entered a treatment facility, Kevin’s attorney shared some insight into how the dancer, who shares sons Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19, with Britney, feels about this chapter.
In a statement released on April 13, her attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan told TMZ, “We are aware of reports that Kevin has entered a rehab facility,” adding, “If she needs help, we are happy to get it, and it appears that this decision was hers to make and not one imposed on her by anyone else.”
He added: “What is important is that she follows and completes whatever treatment plan is recommended.”
News about Britney’s treatment comes a month after she was arrested for drunk driving in California.
After being released from police custody, a representative for the Grammy winner told E! News: “This was an unfortunate incident that is completely unacceptable.”
