Kevin Federline talks about kids with Britney Spear
Kevin Federline said in an August 2022 interview with ITV that Sean and Jaden had chosen not to attend his mother’s wedding, had “decided not to see each other right now” and had not seen each other for “a few months”.
Britney’s ex-boyfriend said the boys started distancing themselves from her because of the NSFW photos she posted of herself on Instagram. “I try to explain to them, ‘Look, this might just be another way she’s trying to express herself,'” Kevin said. “But that doesn’t take away the fact that it’s giving them a hard time.”
Britney responded after excerpts of the interview, which had not yet aired at the time, were made public. “I am saddened to hear that my ex-husband has decided to discuss our relationship with our children,” she wrote. August 6th “As we all know, raising teenage boys is never easy for anyone.”
The next day, Sam came to Britney’s defense, accusing Kevin of being a “dad who hasn’t worked much in over 15 years” who would “soon end the gravy train” if he no longer receives child support from his ex-wife. In response, Kevin’s longtime attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan told TMZ, “Sam doesn’t really know Kevin. He doesn’t know what’s going on in Kevin’s household.”
After Kevin appeared to post an old video (later deleted) of Sean, then 12, and Jaden, 11, arguing with their mother, Britney’s lawyer slammed the move, calling it “cruel and abysmal.”
“Britney is a loyal supporter of her children and loves them dearly,” her lawyer told E! News of the statement on August 11, 2022. “Whether he knew it or not, Mr. Federline not only violated the privacy and dignity of the mother of his children, but also violated the privacy of his own children, who should have been protected.”
