President Donald Trump said Wednesday that the United States will impose a 50% tariff on “any” goods imported from “any country that supplies military weapons to Iran.”

Trump said in a post on Truth Social that any country found to be supplying weapons to Iran would be subject to the tax “immediately” and there would be no “exclusions or exemptions.”

“Countries supplying military weapons to Iran will be subject to an immediate 50% tariff on all goods sold to the United States. There are no exclusions or exemptions!” the president wrote.

This came after President Trump said the United States would “work closely” with Iranian authorities following the cease-fire agreement announced on Tuesday and what Trump called a “very productive regime change.”

In another Truth Social post, President Trump said that “there will be no enrichment of uranium” and that many of the 15 points in the U.S. peace plan have already been agreed upon.

Trump added that the United States and Iran will discuss tariff and sanctions relief.
