“People feel overwhelmed in their homes these days because they can order things so quickly and things accumulate faster than they can get rid of them. So something like a gentle, regular reminder to edit more often. And once it becomes a habit, it doesn’t feel as hard, and it doesn’t take as much time,” Dineen suggested.
She also recommended “being very realistic about how little you actually use relative to what you own,” and said, “My biggest tip to people is just start small. Start with one space or one drawer at a time.”
