Spain beat Serbia 3-0 in a pre-World Cup friendly on Friday, with striker Mikel Oyarzabal scoring twice in the first half and substitute Victor Muñoz scoring on his senior international debut.
Spain’s original plans to play Argentina in Qatar were thwarted by the Gulf conflict, and as Serbia looked to break through, Oyarzabal put Spain ahead in the 16th minute with a superb pinpoint pass in the build-up, before firing home a superb shot.

Oyarzabal scored his second goal in the 44th minute with a stunning shot from the edge of the box, and although Spain dominated much of the match, it took until the 72nd minute for the Reds to find the back of the net again, when Ferran Torres’ superb backheel led to Muñoz scoring.
Spain will join the United States, Canada and Mexico in Group H of the World Cup, where they will play Cape Verde on June 15, followed by Saudi Arabia and Uruguay.
Spain’s national team, which faces Egypt next week, announced on Friday that they will face Peru in their final World Cup warm-up game.
